Taa Daa ! The tooth fairy pillow pattern is done! This all started when I was looking for a pattern for a tooth fairy pillow for my granddaughter Raelynn. I searched the web for a pattern, but just didn't find what I was looking for. Raelynn loves princesses and fairies, so a pillow that looked like a tooth just wasn't what I wanted. Now I have made one for Raelynn to match her room, and one for her little sister Riley, for when she starts losing her teeth!
I decided to design my own pillow, and the pattern as well. This pillow can be left out all the time, rather than just when the Fairy is coming. I didn't want to leave the boys out, so I made a more masculine pillow, just for them!
Its a very simple pattern to complete, even a beginner could do it! I quilted the pillows in "glow in the dark" thread, very cool when the lights are out!The little purse on the girl's pattern, and the pouch on the boys pattern holds the tooth and some money from the fairy. On the back is a larger pocket, suitable for a letter to the tooth fairy, or a bigger treat for the child. The pattern contains clear directions, and full sized diagrams for both the girl and the boy fairies. Patterns will be available soon for $8.00, plus $2.99 shipping. (U.S. only) at this time.(copyright Ocean waves Quilts 2008)
