My friend Just opened a new haircutting salon on Nantucket! I figured everyone would send flowers or a plant. I decided to make her this wall hanging with the name of her salon on it. In the center I put the map of Nantucket. Getting her color scheme was up to my sister who lives on the Island. She sneaked over and peeked in the windows, so I could surprise Sharon!
I got the new "Twas the night before Christmas" blocks. I got the applique block cut out, and hope to start sewing it soon. It is really intense applique, but I think it will be an amazing accomplishment when it is done. Stay tuned..............
That's great, Barb. I love personalized artwork like this. My friend at fooseberrypie surprised me with a wonderful color sketch of Frost Bottom for my b-day/30 year anniversary at the house. She and her artist friend stopped by the house one day while I was not home, took pictures and she produced it for me. Blog to follow on it as soon as I can photograph it. Anyway, that's a great thing that you did.
