This is where we were to see the fireworks. We packed a picnic dinner, this was our scenery while we ate!
The sunset was gorgeous, and the fireworks were too! It is a beautiful backdrop for the fourth of July don't you think?
I have been working away on the June "Twas the night before Christmas" quilt block. It is almost done, and I will be able to show it to you. The good thing about hand applique, is that it is portable. I can put everything I need in a baggie! I got quite a bit done the other night while waiting for the fireworks to start. Good thing I am almost done...the new block is on it's way. The pressure! Lol, I am trying to do both of the blocks each month so I won't fall behind. I didn't think this month's block was as detailed as last months, but when you have 7 pieces to a tiny teddybear, you can see why it takes forever! So...stay tuned............................

Wow! What a gorgeous setting!

What absolutely beauteous breath-taking pictures. I'll say it again, Barb ... U R SO lucky to live where you do!! I always called the mountains up North "God's Country", but with some of the pix you've shared of the Cape, I'd say the same is true about there as well. We really are so lucky here in New England to have so many gorgeous places all around us and within driving distance. SO glad the rain stopped for the "4th" and everyone got their fireworks in! Looking forward to seeing your next Twas the Night Before Christmas block! (NO pressure, really! LOL) I don't know HOW you do ALL that you do! :-) Mickey
