I LOVE Joe Cocker...I have, ever since I first saw him perform in footage from Woodstock. This was him last night, at the Cape Cod Melody tent. The picture isnt great, but it was taken with a phone. It was always a dream for me to see him in person. It has been on my so called "bucket list". Well, I saw him for the second time last light. I wonder what it means when you have done something on your bucket list twice? Maybe time to add a few things to it?
Anyway...he was great! He did all of his old songs...every one of them. When he did "You are so beautiful", I was in seventh heaven. The crowd gave him a standing ovation on almost every song. It's sad in a way..to see how much time has gone by...he looks like an ordinary older guy, not a hippie freak like I remember..but then I may look different too...... How great to be able to do what you love to do, for well over 40 years, and still be making people happy with your music!
