I was very fortunate to not lose power during the storm. It was pretty wild outside, so we stayed in and watched a movie.
I made a cute baby gift. making this tied fleece blanket, and a matching 'taggie". The "taggie " type blanket is small, about 16"x 20". I add a teething ring, a small toy, and a pacifier clip to some of the ribbons around the edge. The ribbons are made to be "felt" so, I use grosgrain, satin, and a cotton nubby ribbon for different textures.
I can make the most beautiful quilts for kids, and they love these tied blankets the most. My granddaughters used theirs till they were almost worn out! They can drag them around by the strings, and they go in the washer and dryer easily. "beachwalk Quilt" almost done....stay tuned......
Love the taggie! What a great idea. I might have to steal it:)
