I have been working away on this quilt, called "hawaiian wedding ring" I got the pattern, and all of the gorgeous batiks in Hawaii. I thought it would be a fabulous remembrance of our wedding and honeymoon there.
I love the colors (of course), but making 40 of these blocks is kind of boring. I have all 40 cut, and fused. I have 20 of them sewed down, 20 to go! I have to do a couple of them, and then do something else for a while, due to the boredom factor!
I have been determined to do at least one a day. Ithought I would have it done by our anniversary in March, but it isn't looking good! Oh well, maybe next year...stay tuned......
I completely understand. I have difficulty working on repetitive blocks so I do like you, I mix them up with something more fun. But your quilt will be beautiful!

Oh my goodness, Barb - This is going to be BEAUTEOUS when done. I love the pattern. Are you hand or machine appliqueing it down? Can't believe your "1st Anniversary" is just around the corner already! Time just goes by too darned fast, doesn't it? Can't wait to see this one when it's finished. I'll bet the batiks are just breathtaking!! Aloha! :-)

You may find them boring to do and I can understand that. But you won't grow bored of seeing it on your bed! Thanks for the pictures

Lol, I know it will be nice when done, but it does get boring! i am actually thinking of putting a colored border rather than the solid one the pattern calls for.
